About Me

My photo
I'm Devin. I love photography. I'm very opinionated and speak my mind. I personally think my friends can describe me more than I can describe myself. So, I guess I'll leave it up to them. Haha

Put Up Or Shut Up

I am so flippen psyched for Warped Tour! I don't think you even understand. Some of the best bands are going to be there and I can't wait to see them live! From moshing to freaking A Day To Remember to dancing to Breathe Carolina, you can't ask for more.

Except for one thing. As teeny bopperish as this sounds, I really wish All Time Low was playing on our day. I was listening to these guys before they got really big, and before Dear Maria, Count Me In became a big hit. Sure, I don't really talk about them much, but that's only because I was really annoyed whenever I did. Whenever I would say something about them, some girl would spaz out and be like,
"Oh my God! They are so hot! I just love their music!"

I'd ask them, "Really? What songs have you heard by them?"

"Dear Maria, Count Me In of course! It's their best song!"

"Have you not heard any of their other songs? Like Lullabies or Running From Lions?"

"Uh, no. Those songs aren't on MTV."

I would just roll my eyes and walk away. No one else really cared to look up any other songs by them. Only because their "biggest" hit was on MTV. It's the same thing with The Maine. It honestly annoys me. People only listen to their stuff because they are on MTV and want to be cool. Some people only care that the band members are hot.

Seriously people, just enjoy the music. It doesn't matter if the band members are hot or gross. I will admit to looking up pics of the band when I hear about them, but I don't care what they look like. All Time Low has some of the best lyrics I have ever heard, and I highly respect them because of that.

Usually, they aren't my cup of tea when it comes to music, but when my friend showed them to me, I instantly fell in love with them. I am honestly proud of them for working so hard and becoming such a well known band. I just hate how people only look up one song, then claim to love the band. Sorry for the rant, just one of my biggest pet peeves :).

Mr. Highway's Been Thinking About the End...

Junior year. The year of heartache, frustration, happiness, and stress. It's finally coming to a close. In so many ways, I hated this year. I hated it with everything in me, but yet, I wouldn't take any of it back. As much as I hated this year, This year has helped me a lot. It made me realize what kind of person I am and who I really can depend on. That, I don't need some boy to make me happy. That you can't waste your days moping around because he broke up with you. Get over it. You can do better anyways. That my friends are there with me, through thick and thin. Thank you all so much. I love ya'll.

It's weird, really. On saturday, I will be seeing two of my best friends graduate. They have been with me through all of high school, but they won't be there for my senior year. It's hard, but you have to let go eventually, right?
Though, after a short 2-3 month period, I will be a senior. Soon enough, I will be walking across that stage, graduating from high school and moving on to college. My mom told me that she has cried almost everyday for the past week because I am "just growing up so fast".

As you grow older, never forget the times when you played hop-scotch in 3rd grade at recess. Or the times you jumped off the swings in 6th grade because you thought that the farther you jumped, the cooler you were.

Never forget your first crush or first kiss (even if your first kiss was terrible). Don't forget who all your friends were in high school, or who you dated. Where your first job was. Never forget the day you graduated and made something of yourself all through college.

Everything we do, defines who we are as a person.

Enjoy life and remember the greatest moments.
